Fallen Angel Ep. 1 (Pt3)

date: October 26, 2008

A few inconsistencies, but those can be nitpicked by anyone. While the art style is a bit different than what was originally billed in the teaser, the style is still enjoyable even though it has lost its pseudo-anime look in favor of a comic book feel. There was no explanation as to why the female protagonist killed off the people in the fallout shelter, although there may be a conclusion of "She started freaking out and killed them all in a bloody rampage" but that is still too vague to properly ascertain.

Overall, this feels like a true post-apocalypse film blended with the art style of an American comic book. The approach towards Modern Realism with overtones of Doomsday sets this up for a series that can be appreciated by the intelligent masses.

Wulfgar

"Golden Axe clone"

submission: Wulfgar
date: March 2, 2008

Very good game, reminded me of the first Golden Axe game. Graphics are nicely done and the constant on-your-toes feel was very well done. Bosses were tough, a welcome thing in this current age of easy boss fights. Well done!

Attack of the Birds

"Very nice."

date: September 7, 2007

This one's reminiscent of that one Alfred Hitchcock film "The Birds". Very slick flash.

NSMB Castle METALIZED !!

"Awesome"

date: September 2, 2007

Very good. At 0:24, loved the transition. Nearly made me light and raise my Zippo while swaying to the beat of the song. That's a rock ballad right there. Guitars sound a bit muted though, could do with a more raw in-your-face sound.

~|The Kingdom of Sand'Oria|~

"Awesome"

date: September 26, 2006

Heh, I didn't expect to find some FFXI BGMs on here. Something must be up. :-)

Awesome rendition of the Kingdom of San d'Oria. I admit this version is easier on the ears, considering that the original version had bagpipes blaring. Needless to say, I was deafened by those Scottish pipes.

I found the second part of the piece a little too... unsteady. Not in rhythm or anything. Just the sound of the horns being a little too subdued and the bass drum being a little too... prominent. But that's just me.

But at the end, it was too abrupt. No loop, just a simple *chop*. Other than that, good work.

It's nice to hear some decent orchestral/symphonic music on this place for once.

*waltzes off to listen to the other stuff*
